Islamabad: The top civic body in the capital has asked for revised rules for regularising marriage halls, after Supreme Court has expressed itself as unsatisfied.
A number of waste management systems have been placed to deal with this. CDA held a meeting to discuss the issue of sprawling marriage halls and marquees in the capital, and in a bid to correct this has levied by-laws to regularise these.
In the meeting, CDA board also approved regulations for sewerage treatment and solid waste management for marriage halls and marquees. In lieu of this, all marriage halls and marquees are required to provide a compact sewage treatment plant facility for disposal of sewage. Moreover, all garbage from here will also be transported to the approved disposal sites as well.
