Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to form a committee to scrutinise the nonconforming use of commercial property originally earmarked for a wedding hall — that now features a commercial plaza instead — a news source reported.

NAB sent a letter to the CDA in this regard. The team being formed for this purpose is set to include the directors of planning and enforcement who will perform a ground check, and prepare a report on their findings — regarding encroachment of land allegedly carried out by the owner of the building.
The plot was originally allotted for a wedding hall but was later converted into office-cum-residential apartments. In addition, the authority had also made the decision to seal the building last year; but it was later unsealed.
