Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board recently conducted a meeting where it made numerous important decisions, including a proposal to re-plan Sector D-12 and Blue Area, according to news sources. As per the publication, the session’s agenda was ‘Development of Blue Area: An Initiative by the Federal Government’, and was led by Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed at CDA headquarters.

The meeting approved changes to the layout plan of sector D-12 in order to create space for 81 new residential plots of varying sizes. The allocation of a 5-acre piece of land for the Sector G-11’ polyclinic and re-planning of Sector G-9’s Blue Area (opposite Sector F-9 Park) was also approved.

CDA officials further revealed that the board has planned 20 commercial plots (including one for a 5-star hotel) for the G-9 portion of Blue Area. They added that the Sector D-11 plots had been created to utilise the vacant land in the area.
