Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved the PC-1 of Margalla Avenue Extension, Lehtrar Road, and hiring of a consulting firm for the mixed-use Kuri Enclave housing project, according to a news published in national dailies on April 20.

The approvals were granted in CDA Development Working Party (CDADWP) meeting, which was chaired by the authority chairman Noor-ul-Amin Mengal. As per the details, the Margalla Avenue Extension project will connect Rawalpindi-Kohat Road (N-5) with Islamabad Peshawar Motorway (M-1), while the Lehtrar Road will link Khanna Pull with PINSTECH.

The CDADWP meeting members also approved the consultancy services for Orchard Heights. The same meeting approved PC-II of project consultancy services for conducting road safety audit in the capital city. The consultancy firm will formulate recommendations for smooth and safe traffic flow on roads. Reportedly, the audit will also help reduce road accidents and improve road safety in planning and design.
