Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved funds worth of PKR 110.119 million for the installation of gas networks in Sectors I-11/1 and I-11/2 of the city, according to news sources.
The payment to the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) is expected to be made in the coming few days, after which SNGPL will initiate work on providing gas to subsectors of Sector I-11. Under this project, SNGPL is to lay the gas pipeline network in the sector and establish a door-to-door gas network in Sectors I-11/1 and I-11/2. The communicated duration of this project is three months.

The 45th meeting of the CDA-Development Working Party held back in October approved the PC-I and PC-IV for development works in Sector I-11, with an estimated cost of PKR 2,618.251 million. The SNGPL was approached in this regard to furnish a demand notice in order to provide Sui Gas infrastructure in the sector.
The survey was concluded, and the demand draft was furnished, processed and approved by the CDA last week. Additionally, the CDA also approved the allocation of 18.6 kanals for the establishment of a 132 KV grid station for the provision of electricity to Sectors I-11 and I-12.

Moreover, the codal formalities for Sui gas provision in Sector I-14 are also currently in the works and are expected to be launched soon.
