Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amer Ali approved designs of two parking plazas out of six, according to news sources. As per CDA’s documents, the project will cost PKR 35.8 million and is expected to be completed in eight months.

One of the parking plazas with 900 vehicles parking capacity will be constructed near Centaurs Mall on 1.5 acres of land. In addition to this, the parking plaza will house a rooftop football ground, a drive-in cinema, and a food court.
The second parking plaza will be built on a 120 x 170 square foot plot near Khyber Plaza Blue Area. The 300 vehicles capacity plaza will have an open sitting area on the rooftop.
In the meeting, the chairman stated that the facilities will be presented for approval in the upcoming CDA’s Development Working Party (DWP). He also added that the work will start by July once the tendering process is complete.

Further, he said that four more parking facilities in the F-8 and F10 Blue area will be constructed. It was also reported that 10% of the area of the plaza will be commercially used for generating funds for construction costs.
