Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday conducted multiple anti-encroachment drives across the capital city, a news source reported. The authority removed illegal constructions and reclaimed state land from the land mafia.

As part of the latest drive, the officials concerned demolished two hotels which were being constructed on state land in front of Street 149 in Sector D-12. During another operation, encroachment in the form of several walls, fences, security cabins and iron grills were removed from a number of streets in F-6. Another operation was performed near Koral Chowk on Sharifabad link road.

Similarly, five restaurants, one kiosk, one store for construction material and a parking area built on the green belt were demolished in another area of the city. Hostels, which were still under construction in Sector G-6, were also demolished.
