Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is continuing its anti-encroachment drive against illegal encroachment and constructions in Islamabad, a news source reported. On Wednesday, the staff of the Enforcement Directorate demolished a number of structures illegally established on state land.

The staff of the Enforcement Directorate dismantled illegal structures around the CDA sectors of I-13 and I-14. These included fences, hedges and a kabaar khana (scrapyard) – which were removed with the help of a wheel bulldozer. A hotel, a sand selling point and a furnishing stall were also removed. Additionally, various pushcarts and make-shift shops were removed from Mandi Morr, while encroachment material was confiscated and deposited at the CDA storage.

Similarly, during another operation conducted in and around CDA sector G-6, two rooms, four wooden walls, and three fences were demolished using bulldozers. Illegal stalls and pushcarts on the footpaths around Bari Imam were removed as well.
