Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to establish the largest Information Technology Park (IT Park) in the country through a partnership between the public and private sectors, according to a news article published on April 5.

Following approval from the CDA Board, a 3.3-acre plot in Sector G-10 has been designated for this purpose, marking a significant milestone in the development of the IT sector. The proposed IT Park will cover a total area of 100,000 square feet, providing workspace for approximately 5,000 to 6,000 freelancers simultaneously.

Furthermore, it will offer facilities for freelancers, start-ups, software houses, as well as house a library and a research centre. This initiative aims to foster innovation and growth within the IT industry, further solidifying Pakistan’s position in the global digital landscape.
