Peshawar: The CDA Board approved a series of measures aimed at improving the financial management and urban infrastructure of the authority, as reported on September 12.

As per details, chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa decided to place the Resource Wing under the administrative control of the Member Finance. This restructuring is intended to help meet revenue targets, explore new revenue opportunities, and address deficiencies in the current revenue collection process.
In a move to revitalise Islamabad’s cinema industry, the board directed the preparation of proposals for redeveloping previously designated cinema plots in accordance with legal requirements. The plans include the development of modern cinemas that meet international standards and the addition of four new cinema sites in the city.

Further decisions included the appointment of a transaction advisor for the IT Park in Sector G-10 and the approval of a feasibility study for the Islamabad Bus Terminal, which will be conducted with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Additionally, the board approved the engagement of advisory services from the Public Private Partnership Authority (P3A) for various projects. To enhance the sewerage treatment system, the City Sewerage Division will be placed under the administrative control of the Director General of Water Management.
