Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) administration has made arrangements to hold another auction of commercial plots located in various developed sectors of the city from September 21 to 23 — with the initiative falling in line with the government’s policy to promote the country’s construction sector, according to a news source published on September 2.

This second auction of commercial plots by the CDA is expected to be held within three months of the first successful auction. Previously, 12 commercial plots worth PKR 17.4 billion were auctioned off in the city’s New Blue Area — with the final sum collected beyond the authority’s original estimations.
The proposed auctions are aimed at further cementing the investors’ confidence in the investment-friendly policies recently introduced by the CDA and the federal government.

The auction is expected to encompass plots from the New Blue Area, the Diplomatic Enclave, F-10 Markaz, G-10 Markaz, I-8 Markaz, Industrial Triangle Kahuta, and various Class-III shopping centres in Sectors G-9/1, G-9/2, G-10/3, G-11/4 and I-11/4. The types of plots presented at the planned auction will be suitable for setting up industrial units, agricultural farms, apartment structures, and shopping malls.
The CDA has also formed a committee — headed by Member Finance — to preside over the auction proceedings. In addition, the brochures for the said auction are available at the One Window Operation Directorate and designated branches of various banks.
