Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday publicised its decision to announce its pending ‘Built-up Property’ award for seven residential sectors in the city, a news source reported. CDA officials further revealed that the said sectors should have received the award at the time of land acquisition to stop additional construction.

According to the details revealed, the civic agency will announce the Built-up Property award for C-13, C-16, D-13, E-13, I-17, H-16, and F-13 on a timely basis. Director Land Shafi Marwat stated that the authority had been working to announce the award in almost all sectors that underwent land acquisition. He added that the CDA expected to complete the task within a couple of months.
Marwat highlighted that the CDA had decided to announce land and Built-up Property award on the same day for future acquisitions. On the other hand, CDA rules indicate that after this award, the owners become eligible for alternate plots.

Marwat stated that CDA was determining the actual number of owners of Built-up Property in the sectors in subject. He added that all legitimate individuals would receive alternate plots.
