Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday announced its decision to open the Barma Bridge on Lehtaraar Road for commute on September 20, according to the civic agency’s official Facebook page.

The construction of the Barma Bridge on Lehtaraar Road was initiated upon the directives of CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed. The authority stated that it put ‘earnest efforts for completion of the construction of Barma Bridge’ to facilitate the locals ‘at the earliest’.
To ensure the timely completion of the project, technology-based real-time monitoring was established for the said project. Despite the coronavirus-induced lockdown as well as the recent record-breaking monsoon rain spells, CDA notified the project’s completion within the communicated timeframe.

Meanwhile, the CDA administration stated that it was currently working on:
- Construction of underpass at Faisal Avenue G-7/G-8
- Bridge in Park Enclave-I
- Construction of PWD underpass
- Korang Bridge
- Construction of Interchange on Rawal Dam Chowk
- Development of stalled sectors I-11, I-12, I-15, E-12 and Park Enclave.
