Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to acquire buses to run on 3 different routes in the capital city, according to media reports published on Thursday (January 20).

As per the details, the authority will procure 29 buses for the public transport service. It was disclosed that the new bus service will operate on different routes including Bhara Kahu to Faiz Ahmed Faiz metro bus station, Soan Garden to Faisal Mosque, and Tarnol railway station to the M5 metro station.
Moreover, PC-1 for the public bus service has already been approved. During the meeting, it was informed that tender documents were being drafted, after which the authority will call tenders for acquiring new buses.

Reportedly, the Islamabad Metro Bus project – from Peshawar Morr to New Islamabad International Airport – will be launched soon. According to a CDA official, orders for these buses have been placed. He went on to say that tender documents were being prepared for another public bus service.
