Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) successfully wrapped up its four-day plots auction on Friday (October 20), marking a worthwhile event for the civic body accumulating PKR 12.9 billion, according to the news source on October 21.

As per the details, the auction featured a diverse range of residential and commercial plots and the CDA had managed to sell 25 plots, amassing an impressive total of PKR 12.90 billion. The CDA announced that the final day saw the auctioning of plots specifically designated for fruit, vegetable, and meat shops, each measuring 16.67 square yards, spread across various sectors. Notable transactions included plot# 4 in sector F-8/4, which was sold for PKR 43.52 million, and plot# 5, which fetched PKR 45.19 million.
Additionally, the fruit, vegetable, and meat shop plots# 1, 2, and 3, garnered bids of PKR 19.67 million, PKR 20.34 million, and PKR 29.42 million, respectively. Residential plots were also in high demand, with plot# 1 selling for a substantial PKR 183 million and plot# 6 fetching an impressive PKR 255 million. Moreover, a commercial plot# 7 in the Blue Area, covering 611.11 square yards, was successfully auctioned for a whopping PKR 1.033 billion.
The entire auction process was meticulously supervised by a committee headed by the Member Estate. The CDA Chairman praised the committee for upholding transparency throughout the proceedings, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all participants.

The next step involves the CDA Board conducting a comprehensive scrutiny of all the bids received, serving as the competent forum to either accept or reject the bids, thereby finalizing this substantial transaction in the heart of Islamabad.
