Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday (June 08) conducted a grand anti-encroachment drive in Sector E-12 to retrieve government land, news sources reported. The authorities successfully retrieved 350 kanals of state land from illegal encroachers.

Reportedly, the operation was conducted in the presence of a heavy police contingent and the city district administration. It was revealed that the authorities had demolished illegal streets, boundary walls and other constructed structures on state land. The land was later transferred to the concerned departments.

It is pertinent to mention that the CDA is now developing Sector E-12. The authority has allocated 289.805 million for the development of water supply, construction of connecting roads, including main highways, drainage system, installation of street lights, sewerage network, and other uplift works. The authority also handed over 120 plots to the owners in March this year.
