Rawalpindi: The Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) has decided to extend its existing premises by adding another 200 kanals of land to it, a news source reported.
As per reports, the board will seek objections from residents of the adjoining areas by circulating print advertisements in local newspapers.
The decision to extend the premises was taken in a CCB board meeting held on Wednesday. CCB President Shahzad Tanveer chaired the session. It was also attended by CCB Vice President Raja Irfan Imtiaz, Cantonment Executive Officer Syed Ali Irfan Rizvi, and other nominated members.
The board also decided that the construction of Raheel Sharif Medical and Dental College will be limited to the college building only during the first phase.
Also, the college hostel and doctors’ rooms will be constructed later when funds become available.
The meeting also approved the revision of tax on transfer of property as per the deputy commissioner rate. Furthermore, several other matters were also cleared; including the purchase of essential equipment for Tahli Mohri and Tohmasabad dispensaries, purchasing of mobile phones for enforcement staff, deployment of new teachers and staff, and increments in the salaries of teachers.
