Rawalpindi: The Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) has given its nod to a number of development projects planned in the city, a news source reported. The provincial government recently released a grant worth PKR 21 million to this effect, and the board has approved the investment of these funds in various uplift initiatives, including the installation of tube wells.

The CCB’s sanction came during a recent board meeting chaired by the authority’s president Shehzad Tanvir. The session decided that the funds would be used for the construction and repair work of the local roads, as well as for installing tube wells.
During the meeting, the board also approved the building plans of 40 residential and five commercial projects.

Addressing the officials in attendance, Tanvir stressed on the authorities concerned to focus on ensuring the provision of clean drinking water during the ongoing holy month of Ramzan. He added that all CCB departments should resolve public complaints on a priority basis.
