According to the details available, Cantonment Executive Officer Waseem Shahid recently announced a policy under which no new buildings would be constructed within the board’s jurisdiction without having its layout plans approved first. Now, the buildings that had been constructed before this announcement have also been provided with an amnesty scheme that will help them to regularise their constructions, after the payment of a regularisation fee and layout approval.
Additionally, the CCB is going to register survey draftsmen and layout designers that will be tasked with preparing layouts within 48 hours, at a fee of PKR 2,500. Such buildings will also be imprinted with the authority’s seal of approval.

Under the board’s program, the people submitting their layout plans after a building has been constructed will not be liable to pay additional fines during the time period in which the amnesty scheme is in effect.
