Lahore: The Central Business District (CBD) Punjab has successfully completed the upgradation of Walton Road, a 4.5-kilometre stretch in Lahore, as part of its broader efforts to modernise the city’s urban infrastructure.
According to a statement from the CBD Punjab spokesperson, the project is expected to significantly improve daily commute for thousands of residents by enhancing road quality, safety, and overall traffic flow.

Key components of the revamp include the installation of a modern sewerage system, diversion of Adda Nullah, lane marking, and energy-efficient LED streetlights. The project also features the Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover and five overhead pedestrian crossing bridges—two of which have been completed, while the remaining three are near completion.
A newly installed inaugural monument at Walton Road now stands as a symbolic representation of the development initiative.
The spokesperson noted that this project aligns with CBD Punjab’s goal of transforming Lahore’s key corridors through sustainable urban planning and infrastructure development.
