Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has initiated a significant development in province Punjab real estate sector. As reported on May 8, a meeting was convened with a focus on introducing legislation to establish a real estate investment trust (REIT) in the province.

During the session, CEO Imran Amin of the Punjab Central Business District Authority (CBD) presented evaluations of various districts, including plans for projects like the Lahore Grand Civic Centre and CBD Grand Central Station. Additionally, discussions centered on introducing environmentally friendly initiatives such as “blue roads” in Gulberg.

CM Maryam instructed officials to expedite negotiations with foreign companies for collaborations within IT City. Furthermore, the meeting saw agreement on establishing CBD business centers in eight Punjab cities and considering a proposal for a ‘City of Sports’ in Sialkot. These steps aim to boost economic growth and infrastructure development across the province.
