Karachi: The Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) has invited expressions of interest (EOI) from firms for its planned waste-to-energy production project, reported a news source. The firms interested can submit their proposals latest by February 11, 2019.
CBC has taken this decision to deal with incidents of increasing power crises in the city. In this regard, the board is looking to set up a plant. The plant will convert 300 tons of solid municipal waste to energy. For this purpose, EOIs have been invited from established firms or contractors interested in collaborating in a joint venture. Under this arrangement, CBC will ensure the transportation of solid waste materials to the sites chosen. The terms and conditions for this project will be finalized in consultation with the selected firms.
The companies/firms looking to send their proposals can dispatch a formal application to the CBC Office address: CC-38, Street 10 Khayaban-e-Rahat, Phase VI DHA Karachi. Along with the application, a nonrefundable pay order or bank draft of PKR 2,000 is also required.
All details pertaining to this project are also available on the CBC official website.
