Quetta: Caretaker Balochistan Minister for Public Health Engineering Naveed Kalmati has vowed that serious efforts are being made to alleviate the water crisis in Quetta, Karachi, and Gwadar, according to a news report.
He revealed that the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) had been supplying 200,000 gallons of water daily to Gwadar, and the government will buy 15 million gallons of water from the Chinese plant installed recently. This water will cost 80 cents per gallon, and will be a positive step towards ending the water crisis. He also added that the tanker mafia will have to be controlled to truly make progress.
