Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has given the approval for the Capital Mass Transit Authority, according to a news source. The authority will be responsible for planning, operations, management and maintenance of metro buses en route important road networks in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The decision was taken in a meeting held regarding the Islamabad Metro Bus project in the Prime Minister Office. While instructing for the establishment of the authority, Abbasi instructed the concerned officers to make use of the Punjab Mass Transit Authority’s expertise to set up the new body in the shortest possible time.
