All the employees of Capital Development Authority would get plots after fulfilling the necessary formalities for this purpose. PM Yousaf Raza Gilani will give allotment letters to employees. This was announced by Faisal Sakhi Butt, the Chairman of Prime Minister’s Task Force on Islamabad, while addressing a congregation of CDA employees organised by Employees Federation of CDA. The daily wages of employees will also be regularised upon the completion of one-year service in the organisation as per policy of the government.
He further added that plots are also the right of the retired employees and they will also be included in the allotment process. Prime Minister has taken special interest in the employees’ issues and directed officials to meet the genuine demands of workers. He said that the current government has announced several benefits for the workers in connection to the World Labour Day like it has done in the past. The relationship of workers with Pakistan People’s Party is based on trust, confidence and unwavering belief.
The government does not want this trust to be shaken because it has developed this relationship with sacrifices. The history is witness to this fact that only PPP has always advocated the rights of workers while the other parties have deprived them of their jobs from public and private organisations during their regimes.
He further added that government will provide 100,000 jobs to the unemployed. A quota will be reserved for the children of CDA workers. Prime Minister’s Task Force would make dedicated efforts to get maximum job opportunities for the people of capital area. He said that regularisation of the daily wages employees was the gift of the PPP for the workers.
Earlier, leaders of PPP, Chaudhry Manzoor, Syed Sibtul Haider Bokhari, Employees Federation of CDA General-Secretary Amanullah Khan and Syed Shabab Bukhari also addressed the gathering of the CDA.
