Islamabad: The Cantonment Boards of Pakistan on Monday announced its decision to facilitate residents of all cantonments in their tax and fee submissions, a news source reported. The board took the decision in line with the e-governance policy of the incumbent government.

To this effect, the Cantonment Boards of Pakistan signed an agreement with 1Link to enable the residents of cantonments to pay their due taxes and fees online. According to details, residents would be able to use this online facility by entering the challan numbers issued to them under the 1Bill option in the mobile application of any bank. Similarly, they could also use the facility through online portals and ATMs of banks.

On signing of the agreement with 1Link, Military Lands & Cantonments Director General (DG) Major General Hasnat Amir Gilani expressed his remarks on the newly available facility. He said that now the residents of all cantonments would have the ability to pay their due bills easily – without facing the hassle of visiting bank branches.
