Rawalpindi: More than 200 tax defaulters have been issued notices by the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB), according to a news report. The cantonment board is preparing for a major operation to meet the targets for the fiscal year 2017-18.
For this, teams from Taxation Branch and Recovery Branch have been formed and properties will be sealed after they are identified. The RCB teams have been instructed not to receive cheques as payment from defaulters. After the payments have been made, the properties will be unsealed. Cantonment Board staff has already recovered PKR 55 million from defaulters on water bills and taxation in one month of operation, previously.
