Rawalpindi: The project to construct water filtration plants in Cantt has been replaced by one to make underground water tanks for providing residents clean drinking water, a news source reported. The decision was made by the Punjab government after the company assigned the contract decided to dissolve it.
According to details, the initial contract was to construct thirty water filtration plants in 10 wards of the Cantt area, but only 10 water filtration plants were set up before the company decided to disengage from the contract. Now it has been decided that 20 underground water tanks will be set up in place of water filtration plants.
