Islamabad: On the instructions of Cabinet Administration and Development Division (CADD) Minister Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, CDA and relevant authorities in Islamabad have established a camp in Bani Gala on Korang drain. Chaudhry went to review the area and asked authorities to issue notifications against companies dumping waste into this drain. He further added that all points from where sewerage and waste water is entering the drain are to be immediately closed.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad (retd.) Mushtaq and Deputy Mayor Chaudhry Riffat were also present at the occasion. Dr. Chaudhry also directed the authorities to carry out a survey of Korang drain to mark its territorial limits and to stop all buildings from discharging their waste water in it. President CADD, and the administration and representatives of localities in the area have also formed a committee for providing residents of these societies with a better sewerage system. Work on this has already started.
