Lahore: The Cabinet Committee on the Legislative Business has agreed to revoke the Punjab Privatisation Board Act along with approving various other law amendments proposed by the government departments concerned, according to a news source published on August 21.

This approval was granted in the 32nd meeting of the cabinet committee, held at the Civil Secretariat, and chaired by the Provincial Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Social Welfare Raja Basharat.

Moreover, the meeting also instructed the Board of Revenue (BoR) to consult with the stakeholders regarding the proposed amendments to the Private Trusts Act. The meeting approved the proposal for memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Punjab BoR for data sharing. Also, the Forest Department was directed to consult the revenue department for land transfer for the installation of air defence equipment in Murree.
