Peshawar: Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) on Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Tuesday (February 1) stated that the cabinet has approved several projects for the province in its meeting, according to media reports.

During the meeting, SACM Saif stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has signed over USD 8 billion Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Dubai Expo 2020. These MoUs will promote hydropower, economic zones, tourism, and mines and minerals sector investment along with attracting foreign investment.
CM’s aide mentioned that the chief minister has directed the relevant departments to facilitate foreign investors in a bid to attract more business. He disclosed that the cabinet has approved a PKR 800 million supplementary grant for the development of newly merged districts.
Moreover, the cabinet gave the go-ahead to amend the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) Ordinance 2001, which will improve the performance. The cabinet has also extended the lease for 25 years for the four kanal land owned by the Tehsil Municipal Administration of Dera Ismail Khan.

Furthermore, the cabinet has ordered the transfer of four kanal land situated at Judicial Complex Swabi on Swabi-Jehangira Road to the Directorate of Youth Affairs for the development of Jawan Centres. In the meeting, the cabinet approved the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Safety Act 2021. Under this act, the health security of the works will be protected. It will address the physical and mental complications in an organization by promoting a healthy working environment.
