Lahore: The 39th cabinet meeting, held on Thursday under the chair of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, provided its approval to the issuance of PKR 5 billion loan to the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) for acquiring land for the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project, according to news sources.

Moreover, the meeting approved offering state land for the master plan of Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project. To this effect, RUDA will present its business plan and financial model for Ravi City project. The meeting also received a briefing on the project from Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Chairman Rashid Aziz and Vice Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Imran.

The meeting also approved the proposed extension in the lease agreement for state land in Cholistan and Rahim Yar Khan provided to an official of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This extension was granted with aim to promote ties between the two countries. Further, the cabinet also shortened the no-objection certificate (NOC) issuance duration to petrol pumps from 90 days to 30 days.
