Taunsa: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the Government Technical Training Institute and inaugurated 13 other development programmes worth PKR 2.94 billion in the city – a news source reported.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the institute would be constructed on a 100-kanal land at a cost of PKR 300 million. He also announced the provincial government’s decision to spend PKR 627.4 million on the beautification of the city.
The CM said that the ‘backward areas of Southern Punjab have also joined the journey of development’ and promised to bring prosperity to these areas.

Later in the day, Buzdar inaugurated a 23-kilometre-road to Kharar Buzdar. The road is expected to be completed at a cost of PKR 26 million. Moreover, the development work of five other roads worth PKR 11.62 million was inaugurated for Taunsa’s internal use.
