Lahore: The business community has apprised the Adviser to the Prime Minister (PM) Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh about the problems being faced by the industrial sector, a news source reported.

Representatives of major economic chambers of Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Karachi, prominent businessmen, and industrialists met the government’s economic team in Islamabad.
Adviser to the PM on Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood, Minister of State for Revenue Hammad Azhar, Secretary Finance Naveed Kamran Baloch, and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Shabbar Zaidi were all present at the occasion.
The delegation gave various suggestions aimed at improving the economy and the industrial sector of Pakistan. They also suggested measures for improving the country’s export sector.

In response, the finance adviser informed the delegation that the federal government was focusing on measures to increase the ease of doing business. He urged the private sector to collaborate with the government in order to improve the national economy.
