Islamabad: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Vice President Karim Aziz Malik has asked the business community to contribute to dam construction, according to a news report.
He said that our future is dependent on Pakistan’s stability, and if the country remains stable and peaceful, businesses would flourish too. So, it is incumbent on all to do their national duty. He explained that Pakistan is facing a water shortage and it is imperative for the business community to contribute to the construction of these dams.
He further stated that it will take years for the dams to be built, so water reservoirs should also be constructed, which will not only produce electricity, but also provide clean drinking water, cater to agriculture, and help avoid flooding.
