Lahore: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) urged the business community to declare their assets by the end of the month, according to a news source. The LCCI President Malik Tahir Javaid called it a golden opportunity to legalise undeclared assets on a mere 5% tax payment.
Under this system, the Computerises National Identity Card number has been declared as the National Tax Number to make it more convenient to file tax returns. The businessmen were encouraged to avail this scheme as doing so would protect them from investigations by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
