Hyderabad: The chief commissioner of regional tax office Hyderabad has asked the local business community to avail the amnesty scheme recently introduced by the government, a news source reported.

Shahid Baloch expressed his views on the matter at an amnesty scheme awareness programme, which was held at the secretariat of Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry on Wednesday.
He informed the participants that the purpose of the scheme was to maximise revenue generation. He added that the regional tax office recently set up a desk to inform the citizens about the amnesty scheme.
Baloch urged the business community to benefit from the scheme and declare their assets by June 30. He said that the government planned to take strict action against tax defaulters starting July 1.

Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry Chairman Shahid Kaimkhani lauded the launch of the amnesty scheme. He also thanked the officials concerned for launching awareness programmes with respect to the amnesty provision.
