Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Commissioner has issued orders to move bus stands and open markets out of the city as a part of removal of encroachments, according to a news source. The task to carry out and complete the project has been assigned to the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).
The Commissioner also approved the project plan for replacing the old Municipal Corporation office with a new parking plaza.
According to details, a consensus has already been established between the Rawalpindi Administration and traders. In a meeting held between the representatives from the Rawalpindi administration and members of various markets and bus stands, it was decided to remove encroachments from the city by moving these facilities outside the city bounds.
