Peshawar: The Cantonment Board Peshawar on sealed 63 buildings over non-payment of property tax on Monday – a news source reported.

Peshawar Cantonment Magistrate Quratulain Wazir issued orders to this effect. According to the board’s administration, the magistrate inspected at least 91 buildings.
She was informed that property taxes pending with the building owners stood at PKR 1.9 million. The board previously notified these owners of the amount they owned to the cantonment authorities.
Moreover, the remaining owners were given a day to get their dues cleared. These individuals had assured the board that they would pay their due property taxes.

According to the magistrate, no relaxation would be given to the violators. She said that the crackdown against property tax defaulters would continue to take place.
