Peshawar: District Nazim Peshawar Muhammad Asim Khan has decided to take stern action against the buildings constructed without the approval of map and has said that all such buildings will be demolished, states a news report.
According to details, this decision was taken in a meeting held to get an update on the Building Control Authorities’ operations in four towns of the city.
The meeting decided that all buildings in Peshawar must be constructed after their maps have been approved by the authorities concerned. Otherwise, the owners of buildings will have to face legal actions, penalties, and a term in jail. Furthermore, it decided that all illegal structures will be demolished.
The news source reported further that legal actions would also be taken against the owners who fail to remove building material from the roadside, causing trouble to the passers-by. In addition to that, the meeting also decided to increase the number of building inspectors in the city.
