Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) sealed several buildings constructed on four plots in I-11/4 in violation of CDA building by-laws, according to a statement issued by the authority on Thursday – a news source reported.
Action was taken by the building control section – I with the assistance of ICT, and concerned officials, the statement said.

The authority’s action came after the Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of the alleged violation of building by-laws, and the nonconforming use of four commercial plots in I-11. The PM had sought a report on the matter.
According to the CDA spokesperson Syed Safdar Ali, the plots were allotted for warehouses. However, various businesses were operating there in violation of CDA building by-laws.

He explained that these four plots were allotted to the Civil Aviation Authority for the establishment of warehouses. However, due to commercial activities on the said plots the building control section issued notices to remove violations within 15 days. After the deadline expired, the building control section staff sealed the four plots.
