Peshawar: District Nazim Asim Khan has approved the building plans of 17 commercial plazas, a news source reported. He sanctioned the approval while presiding over a meeting held in Town-1 for this purpose.
Khan mentioned that the approved maps meet the criteria set by Peshawar Town-1 Building Control Authority (BCA). He also appreciated that revenue generated by Town-1 in terms of map approval fee has increased considerably.

The Nazim instructed the infrastructure officers and chief building inspectors to pace up the map-scrutiny and approval process for public ease. He specifically mentioned that approval for maps for buildings located in central parts of the city be issued in three months. This, according to him, will assist the owners with starting the construction work according to the planned timeframe.

Khan also instructed the building officers to keep check in their areas for progibiting illegal construction activities. Furthermore, he stressed that BCA staff should ensure that the final maps for commercial plazas follow the rules set for side alley and car parking space.
