Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza and RDA Director General Capt (R) Abdul Sattar Issani were informed about the issues faced by real estate builders and developers by a delegation that comprised of Federation of Realtors Pakistan and State Agents Association.
The chairman told the delegation that approval system has been simplified and until the Cabinet approves Land Subdivision Rule 2020, Lahore Development Authority (LDA)’s rule will also remain applicable.
The Chairman added that the Prime Minister’s package for construction industry reflects his vison and all the obstacles have been removed from the way of construction industry’s success. He also requested all the builders and developers to submit their proposals in accordance with the Land Subdivision Rule 2020.

Abdul Sattar Issani, DG RDA directed the builders to transfer the residential and commercial properties of private housing schemes from RDA because not doing so is not only against the law but also keeps the government at disadvantage. Chairman RDA has also asked the delegation to come up with a plan for the provision of water supply to the housing societies from Ghazi Brotha Project.
He also assured the delegation that issues related to participation in housing societies should be directed to RDA until the courts takes its decision.
