Islamabad: The federal government on Friday, announced PKR 24,211.511 million for new and 115 ongoing projects of the Housing and Work Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2021-22 (FY22), according to news sources.

As per the budget document, PKR 10,689.314 million is allocated for 60 new projects and PKR 13,522.197 million for 55 ongoing schemes.
Following are the details about the budget allocation for these projects:
- PKR 1,451.350 million is reserved for rehabilitation and improvement of roads and streets, which includes water and sewerage system in the district Korangi/Malir, Karachi.
- PKR 1,319.290 million has been set aside for the restoration and improvement of streets and roads in the union councils of Central Karachi.
- As far as new projects are concerned, PKR 1,000 million will be used for development schemes in various union councils of District Gujrat.
- PKR 499.849 million is allocated for the construction of a 38Km road linking Dureji Town of Lasbela to union council Taung with an 8Km link to Talanga dam in Lasbela.

- PKR 638.434 million will be spent on rehabilitation and construction of roads at Latifabad, Hyderabad City.
