Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Sunday presided over a high-level meeting where he directed the provincial governments to focus on the projects that will ensure economic progress and create employment opportunities for locals, according to news sources.

The meeting also reviewed the budget proposals for Punjab and KP Chief ministers from both the provinces were in attendance and briefed the attendees about the developmental projects currently underway, in their respective provinces.
In view of the ground realities, both the chief ministers detailed the participants of proposed revenue and expenditure targets for the fiscal year 2020-21 and their priorities. They were directed to focus on the development of industries, agriculture and the health sector.

PM Khan called for the provinces to create job opportunities in major cities that had been adversely affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Also, he directed the provincial authorities to facilitate the private sector to encourage their participation in the developmental projects.
