Peshawar: The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) coordinator Khalid Mukhtiar released a statement highlighting that when completed, the project will serve the commute needs of 500,000 people, according to a news report. He also highlighted the government’s satisfaction over the pace of the work, and said that the companies are working round the clock in ensuring the project is completed within the stipulated time.
Adding on his comments, Mukhtair said that more than 4,000 people are currently working on the project which spans over 28 kilometres. Work on the bus depot in Chamkani has also started, while debris from Reach 1-3 of the project have also been removed.
