Peshawar: According to a news report, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak announced on 5th March 2018 that the Bus Rapid Transit project would be extended to Khyber Road, Peshawar’s main artery. He announced this during his visit to the project’s site.
In the statement issued, it said that Peshawar Cantonment area’s administration had agreed to this proposal and issued a No-Objection Certificate in this regard, as well. Mr. Khattak briefed the attendees about the work. He said this was important because its the only solution to all traffic-related problems in the city.
Asian Development Bank is funding the construction of this 26-kilometre BRT corridor from Chamkani to outside Cancer Hospital in Hayatabad.
