Peshawar: Falling on the route of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Nothia Road will open to traffic after Eid-ul-Azha, a news sources quoted a BRT spokesperson. In the meanwhile, the process to hire guards on BRT Reach II to ensure security conditions has been completed.
After taking oath, the new Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued instructions to speed up development work on the project. The companies engaged for the project are working to meet the committed deadlines. In the meanwhile, it has also been ensured that international-standard building materials are used for construction.
On BRT Reach I on GT Road, the construction phase for bus track has also been initiated. It is expected test run of the bus will start with project’s Phase I completion expected in December.
