Karachi: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has instructed officials to speed up construction on Karachi’s Red Line and Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects, according to an update drawn from a November 14 article.

According to the details, the directive was given at a meeting of the Department of Transport and Mass Transit, where project progress was reviewed. The meeting was attended by Transport Secretary Asad Zamin, Managing Director of the Sindh Mass Transit Authority Kamal Dayo, as well as consultants, contractors, and other senior officials. Minister Memon highlighted that these BRT projects aim to provide Karachi’s residents with modern, affordable transit options, underlining that quality standards must not be compromised.

He further emphasised the importance of completing the projects ahead of schedule, stressing that their timely completion will ease travel for millions of residents.
