Peshawar: Development work on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project has been completed by over 80%, a news source quoted the information shared by construction companies with delegations representing World Bank and Asian Development Bank. The officials of the two international organisations paid visits to different project sites and appreciated the work being carried out by the companies.
For the 28-kilometre long BRT track, construction of underpasses and overhead bridges is in its final stages, and the same is the case for Reach 1 and Reach 2. The construction companies engaged for the project are using high-quality construction material while maintaining a satisfactory pace of development work.
The project is expected to offer employment opportunities to thousands of people and also provide easy commute facilities to thousands of passengers.
